• Benjamin Franklin - One of the more influential figures in the founding of the United States. When asked what form of government was devised for the country during the original Constitutional Convention, he replied - "A Republic - If you can keep it"
• William Penn - A Quaker who founded Pennsylvania and Philadelphia. His statue sits atop Philadelphia's City Hall.
