Penn's Landing is on the Delaware River Waterfront. The Seaport Museum is located there along with numerous restaurants including the Chart House and Moshulu. During the summer months there are a number of concerts along the waterfront and occasional fireworks shows.

Parking is a little pricey. If you are staying in the city you might want to take the Market Street subway line to about second street and then walk across the bridges to the seaport.

Once you are there, it is a great place to just wander around and enjoy the scenery of the ships and the river.

You can take a ferry from the seaport over to the Camden Aquarium and the Battleship New Jersey.

For current information about events at Penn's Landing, please see the Penn's Landing website

Unfortunately the cruiser USS Olympia, a unique survivor of the Spanish American War and an important part of American History, is in danger of being scrapped this summer. More information is available at our Philly Blog
