Dining

Philadelphia has restaurants to suit just about any taste ranging from cozy, romantic bistros to eclectic vegetarian restaurants. In many cases, reservations are well advised.

One unique Philadelphia tradition is the Philly Cheeseteak The best place for this in in South Philly where Geno's and Pat's compete within  a stone's throw of each other. If you go, there is a certain eqtitted involved. For example, at Geno's, the owner has made national news by insisting that customers place their orders in English. The Philly Cheesesteak is thinly sliced beef with American, Provolone or CheeseWiz with or without onions.
